Im glad your OK man, it sucks to get re ended like that. Def make sure to get a good lawyer and note down everything, you never know when a pain might come back later on and hell have to take care of that...

And like mentioned before, don't let him go off easy, even if he just "zoned out". That's how most fatal injuries occur next to drunk driving. And definitely get compensated, my family had to fight hard for compensation from some idiotic kid in a civic crashing into us while speeding through traffic. Mom and dad still has neck and back problems.
