boredom inspired heat shield..

Default boredom inspired heat shield..

well as it says i got bored and decided to try and make a heat shield..i drove around with it and honestly cant tell any difference but w/e. it prolly only took about 30mins to make but i still need to smooth it out and such...

that shield gets reeeeeally freakin hot...

my buddys injen intake for his celica came with one that looked similar to that. i dont think they prevent any air exept bad air. right? you want cold air not hot. so... looks like it should work. i saw some on ebay once for like 15 bucks. i sorta wish i had one.

na air still gets through, theres a small gap maybe about 1/4-1/2 in. inbetween the filter and the shield. i havnt felt any difference in power so i guess the only point it would serve is appearence. im sure it prevents some hot ait getting in but not a whole lot i would imagin...
