Finally finished (56k Do Not Enter LOL)

Well lets see, about 6 months ago I re-did my strut tower bar. This time I did it out of solid stainless square bar, and had it all welded up. Then I got lazy and it sat there for the 6 months and did nothing. Today I got off my lazy butt and put it on.

I want to do the next one all in stailess and just clearcoat it. I only painted this one because I had to use non-stailess for the plates on top and bottom.

((Also, the underside of teh body has been reinforced with 3/8 metal plate to take the load of the strut bar.))

Hey, the bolts are strong and use an allen wrench which I love.

As for the blue (and its not baby blue, thats the camera.) It is all getting changed to black. I only used the blue in the first place because it was on sale at autozone. ROFL As soon as teh temp gets to where I can paint, I am gonna start changing it all to just plain old black. I think it will look better.

^^^ Oh, they were on sale too when I went to get new vac lines. LOL I figured they would work just as well and stand out if I had to trouble shoot the vac system in the future. I have been looking for some white slicone tubing, but haven't been able to finds any. Oh well.

And yes I can feel the difference. I could feel it with the old one, but the new one is stronger and works MUCH better. Only thing is it weighs about 15 pounds. Might be a bit heavier than 15 pounds, I forgot to weigh it. But yeah, it works great. I am gonna put it through it paces this weekend. I was thinking of doing a few runs in an old parking lot with it and without it to see what difference it makes. That way I will have numbers on it.

Any better ideas on how to test it? I do know from a peice of scrap that I made up (set up and welded just like the bar) that it take well over 5 tons of force to bend it. I used the bender we have for testing our welds and bent it. It made a horrid noise when the welds started breaking, but held together. ROFL
