the freakin piston after the con-rod failed and it bust through the head and fairing to bust him in the arm. you can see it lying on the track after it hits him.

damn! that did actually kinda look like it was either his glove, or his hand flying off. I paused it while i was viewing it, and its a bit hard to tell.
