We're talking about you guys discussing tattoos & piercings in this thread rather than the one that was created for the sole purpose of discussing tattoos and piercings.

Yes, tattoos and piercings are becoming more mainstream. That doesn't mean they look professional, and it is harder to get a good job with piercings and visible tattoos than it is without. First impressions are very important with employers, and most employers aren't going to be too excited if you want into an interview with piercings and covered in ink. Yes, there are exceptions, but I'm speaking very generally here. And don't even try the "living in the '60s" bullsh*t on me; I was born in '89, do the math.
