True, dont they discover like 6 new species every year. I remember hearing about that little deer with gills that native africans said they saw, scientists said it was just a story, then like 60 years later they found a dead one.

that thing was weird lookin what a bunch of idiots, the thing lives for 500 years on its own, then some dumb *** azn tries to put it in a tank......and it took 2 hours to kill it....gotta love scientists

 

I believe it probably went something like this...

"Hey, NEW SPECIES! Can we keep it? Can we? Can we?"
They take it back to some lab and stare at it
"Oh no, that really old shark died, guess we should have put it in the right water"
They pull it out of the tank
"Hey, let's poke it with a stick"
They poke it with a stick
"Hey, I got a better idea... Let's look at it's dick!"
