i cant wait for PS3. Playstation has always been better than XBox IMO. great graphics, great systems, great controlers, amazing games, and a massive selection of games as well. also tend to be slightly cheaper than XBox too.

I expected no less from Sony, they have always been better than XBOX. The Final Fantasy thing looked pretty cool but i don't think i will be buying a PS3 cause i'd rather spend the $300-$400 on project civic.

If you want a modded PS3, your going to want to get an older console with a newer chip. I know that the chips for the PS2 (slim) aren't that great, but the chips for the fat PS2 are suppose to be good. But i got my PS2 (slim) from India and my dad hasn't installed my chip for my fat PS2.

just installed yourself, its not that hard, you just have to be patience soldering all the wires.
but what i mean is i'm going to wait to see which console has more modding support hardware and software wise, for example the xbox is the best to console to mod of all three,

I think I remember someone saying it would be out in April, but I dont exactly remember...

I read an article a few months ago about the PS3, it truly is amazing. The processor system in there is outstanding, and should lead to MUCH more difficult game play.

....Pat, I'm with you, I can't WAIT to see some racing games on that sucker. That's pretty much all I play anymore..

On some games they take screen pictures of scenes and actually stick it in the game and then the cg/s and game characters. Which is really coolio of course!

um... you guys do know that the PS3 is supposed to run about $600-700 right? no joke, and I think its going to be released in November. They announced that it will be in limited quantities like the xbox360 so expect retailers to not sell them in their stores, but to hike the price up on ebay like the xbox now[:@]

according to this site, their info is that release is planed for spring 2006 and the projected cost is going to be around 300.00. however that remains to be seen, we all know it went with ps2, it was over a year past its projected date before it was mass released.

i don't know, that does look amazing, and i like the PS@, but i think IMO that the XBOX Pwns the PS2, not by the amount of games, but for graphics the XBOX is on top, and then you have the harddrive, and the fact to mod it is a software mod and not a hardware, and i like the XBOX and XBOX360 controller over the PS2 and the PS3. but i will decide when i play the PS3, cause i dont have any intentions of buying the XBOX360 just yet

Many of those shots are rendered. Actual in-game screenshots are actually at about the same level of the 360. Fight Night Round 3 is the most realistic looking game so far produced by either company.... It looks soooo sweet.

I work at blockbuster and in our computers the date got pushed back to october. I don't really care about that it just sucks becuase xbox won't release halo 3 until sony releases the ps3.

Well, since my ex boyfriend stole my PS2, I've been without my own gaming system for a while (Just using my boyfriend's)... But I think I'll go out and buy the PS3 when it comes out. Yummy!

last i heard launch was scheduled for fall 2006 for $700. im trying to convince my dad to pre order a bunch and sell them on ebay and let me keep one. i thought GT4 was amazing on PS2 but i dont even want to think about what it will look like on PS3. people will probably come into the room and think youre watching it on tv. the f1 and the boxing game looked so real
