actually all it is just a 4.7K ohm .5 W resistor, it fools the IAT sensor into thinking it is 57* F outside causing it to dump more fuel into the engine to compensate for the denser air coming into the engine. Theoretically it should work but I would think the O2 sensor would make up for it and straighten the A/F ratio back out...maybe I am wrong...This has been a "trick" of the weekend track racers for years but I don't really know if it works. Doesn't hurt anything though.
