Well, I have a 91 Hatch that I like a lot. Despite it's obvious flaws - the D15, the four speed, the fact that it's been in a few accidents - I like it a lot and can tell the platform has a lot of potential. However, I have my doubts about building up my particular example because it's been hit before.

My plan was to acquire another 88-91 hatch that had not been hit. It can have a stripped interior and other parts as long as the suspension is all there, as well as the wiring harness, etc. Or it can be a complete car with a dead motor or tranny, a rod knock, etc. I would also consider a second gen CRX for this purpose but it's not my first choice - the hatch fits my needs better.

I'm looking to spend less than 500 dollars, and keep in mind 500 would be for a nice low miles complete car with a motor/tranny problem. For the same car with higher miles, less decent condition etc or a running stripped car, think around 300, or around a hundred for a stripped non running car.

If you've done some work to the car in some way, I'd be willing to negotiate for parts that I'd be interested in. I'm not interested in any body kits, doofy wings, neon kits or other riceboy stuff. Anything that actually makes the car faster will be taken into consideration, of course.

I've got one that was not hit, but soe dumbass in my autoshop thought it would be funny to hit the driver's fender with a creeper. it's a 91 hatchback. the Car was stolen and stripped not once, but twice. It's still got a decent interior though. The motor doesn't pass smog, but it runs great. 4speed d15b(8valve). The car is just hangin out. I drive it once a week to keep the gas and engine fresh. I'm located in Califonia, Los angeles. I'l give it to you for 700. you make whatever arrangements necessary to pick it up if you want it. I'll takes pics and post them asap. By the way it just had and oil flush and a coolant flush,and slightly used tires(10G or less on them)If your not interested, let me know either way so I don't stay hung up on this.I'm trying to get rid of it.

 

Sorry, man, but I think I'm going to have to wait for one a little closer to home. If I went all the way out to LA I'd most likely take home a nice rust-free mkI MR2 anyway.

Someone should come up with one soon, too... there's a Sentra coupe going for cheap near me, and I might just have to try that 'other' giant-killing ****box. C'mon, you wanna keep me in the Honda camp, right?

hey ohbiskits has a hatch for sale (or so he says) he is in florida too. i was gonna buy it from him cause i could use the body parts. he was advertising it for 400.00 at first with all sorts of extras. then when i get in contact with him he tells me his dad wont let him sell it for less than 600.00 and he will be keeping some of the parts he first claimed to be selling with it. i live too far away from him to play games so i let it be, but since you and he are so close maybe you can work out a deal with him

thanks wheelbroker, yeah i think i have found a couple other good prospects. two or three complete cars for under 400.00 and ole finalimpact on here says he has my windows so something will pan out soon i think. i got the important part, the motor! windows are a luxury, well they are good for reducing drag too, but mostly a luxury, ha ha. right now i look at it as a weight reduction till i get them replaced.
