Question for Del Sol owners

I was thinking about buying a used del sol and I was wondering if the trunk-passenger-cabin partition folds down. I want a car that I can drive to go snowboarding, so I'd only consider the del sol...

RE: Will an '07 AC compressor work in an '08 Civic?

The 08 and 07 civics use the same engine, so I don't see why not

RE: Why the thought of alternate fuel is useless.

koots, the diesel combustion process produces much more NOx than gasoline combustion does. One solution commonly implemented in European diesel cars is to use a liquid catalyst to neutralize the NOx...

RE: Block Resurfacing

Interesting way of organizing your parts. I like the holes in the wooden board.

If the oil pump is stock, now would be a good time to use a feeler gauge to check the clearances.

RE: Block Resurfacing

What made you decide you needed to get the block decked? I'm curious if a scratched-looking block surface calls for a redeck.

RE: need expert engine advice on Dc1 head swap*PICS*

I never knew there were sohc integra engines...

If the specs say that your engine has more horsepower, that only tells you about peak horsepower. Maybe the vtec allows the y8 to have a higher...

RE: Block Resurfacing

I'd leave them in if your machinist is okay with that. If you do have to take them out, I think Chilton's recommends re-honing the cylinders.

RE: Block Resurfacing

It might be better to ask the guy who's going to mill your block about how he expects it :D

If you were going to pull pistons out and replace the rings, I believe you're supposed to rehone the...

RE: Rebuilding '86 CRX Si to stock

Okay, so I didn't pass smog 2 weeks ago. I had high HC, but that passed. I didn't pass the CO test at 25 mph, but passed at 15 mph. I've run some basic diagnostics, and I figured out that my o2...

RE: A Thought About Oil Consistency...

I've read that going to a lower cold weight oil can improve engine life. There's people who stand on both sides of this fence, though. You can read through some posts at the forums on...

RE: A Thought About Oil Consistency...

It's spelled strenuous.

The engine oil has to heat up to 212 F to reach operating temperature, so even room temperature is "cold" for your engine oil. The 0W part means it's thinner at some...

RE: Gas Prices around the USA

Oh, I should add that it's $4.40ish for diesel in CA. I feel bad for the diesel car owners (though there won't be many--new diesel passenger cars can't be sold in CA)

RE: Why the thought of alternate fuel is useless.

Interesting, are you an inspector? (That's not a sarcastic question, I'm genuinely curious)

I'm not claiming to know that much about nuclear reactors, though in statistics they appear to be...

RE: donut

I've reused the donut every time i've taken off my downpipe. I would advise you to get an o2 sensor hex socket. I was just at autozone today and noticed that their free-loan-a-tool program includes...

RE: Why the thought of alternate fuel is useless.

Well, I agree that Bush isn't going to help our fuel problems. My main point was that your statement about generators is incorrect--see below.

Again, coal and nuclear power plants can...

RE: Why the thought of alternate fuel is useless.

Nuclear power isn't tapped out. You really exaggerated about nuclear power plants. I don't know any city (in california) that even has a fossil fuel power plant next to it. You don't want to live...

RE: Gas Prices around the USA

Los Angeles:
reg/sup/premium
3.89/3.99/4.11

though it's higher in some areas, I think these are the lower prices in LA

RE: Almost used some C4

that's strange, you should have a fuse between your battery and your alternator precisely for this reason. A blown anything is probably more expensive and harder to access than a fuse

I'm rebuildilng my 86 crx right now, and I just finished putting the head back together and replacing a few hoses. It doesn't pass smog right now. I'm going to deal with it using the rationale that...

RE: Rebuilding '86 CRX to stock

my craigslist RSS feed shows 95% 2nd gen CRX's. It really makes me wish that I got one of those. The plus side to owning a first gen crx is that it's lighter and the front suspension is a torsion bar...
