Check whether you can close the heater valve manually. The valve is generally associated with a heater hose near the firewall.

The cracked exhaust manifold would make the engine run rich but would NOT throw code P0135. But definitely replace the cracked exhaust manifold.

Reset the ECU to see whether the code returns.

Just vacuum the loose dirt. The connectors may be coated with dielectric grease. Don't clean that off. If you do, recoat the connectors with dielectric grease.
