Default Are cops allowed to be on private property??

I was approaching a stop sign and stopped. I then proceeded to make a right hand turn when a motorcycle cop hiding in someones yard then pulled me over. He said I ran the stop sign. I believe his point of view was obstructed by numerous trees and a wire fence to make a clear judgement if I stopped or not.Are police officers allowed to be in someones yard without their consent?
I plan to fight this in court.

Also, is getting one of those traffic attorneys a good deal? If not, I'm doing it myself. If cop shows, I'm basically screwed but I plan to ask the judge to withhold judification.
Thanks

They are cops, they can do whatever they want. But really i dont think you will win the battle, the judge always beleives the cop instead of you, unless there was a witness.

I was just joking, i have gone to court but luckily they never showed, but if they do show the judge is very hard to convince. His point of view is you broke the law now you pay.

GAHH, hahaha i dont know what to do. Basically what im aiming for, is no insurance and no points. or all in all just the whole ticket to be dismissed. Except getting an attorney would be better except this is not a huge ticket....$118.50 for runnin a stop sign. So it wouldnt be really cost worthy to do that, so i dont know....

I'd always rather pay a lawyer than the cops
