Just purchased a new 08 civic coupe SI. love it! got it to save on gas had no idea they were so fast. love hunting down the punk kids with the loud mufflers. (No offense)

has anyone tried using the lower octane fuel in these?

 

due to high compression, 93 octane fuel is required. lower grade fuel will result in engine pinging/knocking. eventual engine damage is possible from this. the dollar or two you would save at the pump on a fill up are not worth the risk.
