Hey out there, currently have a dodge neon, tired of it being slow and not responding to my upgrades. Want to get into Honda scene and not sure where to start. Looking for some advice on a good car to start with that has some good potential. Not going to be a DD but more of a weekend warrior car. Let me know and thanks !

P.S. Probably just want to stay N/A with possibility of boost later.

same here, my dad had one a couple years back and I loved it but I wasn't old enough to drive to steal it.... In general I'm assuming the SI models are a better platform to start with. What is a safe boost range on stock bottom end if I decide to go that route? I'm trying to weigh my options here Thanks again!

8 lbs.

Whats wrong with the neon? The pre 2000 neons arent bad. Find a DOHC neon motor to swap in and turbo that!

unless you get a 99+ Si or something with a B series engine, a civics not gonna respond much better than your car.

Well I have an 03. We have the NGC system that pretty much nullifies any upgrades. Pretty much my only option is find a first gen(and turbo) or do a SRT-4 swap which is very costly and time consuming. We dont have systems like Hondata or DMSlink so if I try any turbo setup I wont pass inspection. :-(
