15 low pro tires

i run stock si wheels now and a 195/50/15 and i want a tire that has a smaller side wall but i cant seem to find any thing do they not make the rubber band looking tires for 15 inch wheels?

trustdestruction 12-28-2008 07:06 PM

you don't want them.

your ride will get a lot bumpier, and your speedo and odometer will be off by a lot

It's pointless

^^ what he said. If you want a lower profile tire, go for a larger rim. ex: 205/40/16

like you said they are hard to find and pointless on 15" rims. i remember finding one company that has them but i dont remember which company

gotta love huge wheels and rubber bands

Huge wheels and tiny tires are so pointless... I'd rather have a nice looking 14" or 15" wheel with tall tires than have a 17" wheel and next to no tire. And I know how both feel... you don't want small sidewalls. Not that I think you're actually going to listen to sound advice.

And even if you want to get technical, smaller sidewalls don't always equate to better handling. A tire with a taller sidewall but better designed tread blocks will handle better than a tire with a short, stiff sidewall and poorly designed tread blocks. Besides, the handling gained or lost by changing sidewall height a few inches won't be felt by an amateur driver. And by the way, I consider everyone here on hcf amateur drivers ;)

the rims are in new york ,,, diffent strokes for differnt folk i like the way small side walls look in think tall tires on any thing other then a pick up truck look stupid, but this is just me agree to disagree

trustdestruction 12-30-2008 06:35 PM

hate to tell you but the reason you won't find the tires you're looking for is because it's stupid

and seriously... you live in NY, and you want less sidewall? So what are you going to do when you drive through your daily pothole?

0ekex 12-31-2008 12:08 PM

dude i dont tell you what you like it stupid, thats the problem with theses forums you got a bunch of retardes on here that just hate on other peoples styles. mabey i think del sol are gay and stupid but i dont tell you that cause i respect your style. differnt strokes man.
