Default 18 inch wheels on EM2

Hey been looking at these Axis Widetracks for the civic and i wanted to know if i needed anything to go with them like spacers or anything else. They are 18" x 8" and i'll be having some Toyo Proxes 4 tires with them. I'm still new to the offset stuff and don't know much about it. Also would the wheels come out of the fenders?

I was looking into 50mm lip front and 80mm lip for the back.

Thanks.

why are you going so big on the rims? I have the same type of car and 17's are enough. It makes the car look good and the ride isn't that horrible. I still gringe feeling if i see a pothole but i can just imagine driving with 18's its gonna be alot worse. You can take a look at my gallery to get an idea of what 17's look like but i think 18's are a bit much

but i think
That's the problem with wheel size.... for daily driven purposes, it's all opinions and what someone's willing to put up with. Some people think you shouldn't even dream of anything over 16's. Some people go nuts for their 18's.

I say get what you like. Do you know what the offset is? And are you lowered or plan to lower?

Oh, and please don't get wider lips in the back of a fwd car [:'(]

yeah don't do that lol. But yeah you have to take also into effect if you plan to lowered. I lowered mine 2' inches front and back. But is reaper is right its whatever you willing to put up with. So just think about if you plans to lower it and how much and once again don't get wider lips in the back of a front wheel drive car [:'(]

Actually my civic is lowered but gotta change the shocks they're done for. I wasn't exactly decided if i wanted to go 18 but i love those wheels and they're only made in 18's so that's why i was asking. I'm really picky for wheels...Except those, i can't find alot that i like. Sure Volk wheelsare nice but i ain't rich lol. Racing Hart too but mostly for 5 lug vehicles.

Well if i could have an idea what wider lips in the back look like (not exagerated) maybe that'd give me the answer to do it or not...I searched on the web for pics but geez no luck.

If you find anything could you put it in this post?

By the way your 02 civic looks nice! I don't usually dig chrome on civic but yours look good

8 inch wide wheelswon't fit on an em2. 7.5 is cutting it really really close. i have 18x7.5, trustme there isnt anextra half inch in there. 8 in wide 18s will rub on the bottom of the strut in the front and probably hit the control arm in the back. the only way to make it fit is to play with the offset, and you should get factory offset. if you change the offset it screws with the entire suspension geometry and it will be near impossible to get into alignment. and whatever you do please dont let your wheels stick out from under the fenders. long story short, 18" is ok, 8" wide isnot.

Well it was said that the widetracks fit civics and most FWD cars even though it's 8 inch wide...but hey thanks for the info i will have to reconsider 17's but i can't seem to find any that i like in 17 inch models so it sucks...but now i know i shouldn't go 18's.

16's are better IMO but yea, 18's on a civic is bad, the ride will be terrible, plus it just looks crappy
