Question 2 inch drop need help with tire size...

lowered my 2000 civic coupe ex. front 2.5 and rear 2.25 inch drop, i have 16 inch rims and need tires size that do not rub. i was looking at 205/50/16 or 205/45/16 what would be better. and not look 2 small and fit well in the wheel well.

On a coupe you can run 205/45 on your wheels. The 50s will rub. I have to run 205/40/16s on my hatch due to the slightly different well size. Im dropped about the same as you. What did you lower it with?

It's not a guarantee that 205/45's won't rub; a lot of it depends on the wheel offset; too low and they rub the fenders, too high and they'll rub the inside of the wheel wells.

The window lickin moderator hit it on the head. Tire size not so much the problem, as is the offset of the wheel.

and if they are 7inch wide then most likely youll have to roll the rear fender lips to clear unless you want to rock negative camber in the rear.

i dont wont any rubbing, i am a bit confused my rim is 16 inch by 7.5 inch offset rota wheels. I went with dropzone struts and springs combo. so should i go with 195/45/16 , 195/40/16 or stay with 205 series. i also went with a camber kit front and back. what do u suggest...
