Default 225/45 vs 205/50 - 17" Tyres Help

I own a 2006 Civic with 17x7 alloy wheels with 225/45 wheels. I'm curious of the benefits of switching to 205/50 tyres. According to tiresize(dot)com, the width makes 9% difference, while the rest of the specs virtually remained the same like the circumference, diameter and sidewall (less than 1% difference).

- Is there much of a difference in weight between a 225/45 and 205/50 tyre?

- Will swapping to the 205/50 increase acceleration and improve performance on steep hills?

- Will 205/50's increase or decrease comfort?

- Which size will be more durable?

Not concerned about tyre costs.

Everything else remains stock besides a K&N air filter.

Cheers.
