Default 6th Gen vs 7th/8th Gen Handling

I read this on Sport Compact Car's site.

"The EK Civic is the last generation with a double wishbone front suspension instead of cheap MacPherson struts like the 2001-and-up models, and the handling potential of the EK models is well beyond that of the newer cars."

Does the EK really handle better than newer Civics?

They'll still be heavier though, surely. Think they'll "work out" the SI's having the K20A2 instead of the A3?

i test-drove the new SI 06 civics...they handle pretty well....i think with the right suspension mods, the 06 civics will handle much better

and yeah, i have a 6th gen civic rite now...with springs, shocks, sways, and front tower strut. Definately handles nicely.
