'93 civic LX brake fluid
 

I just put new brakes, front and back on my '93 Civic LX. Also installed speed bleeders all the way around. For a car this age, is there a particular type of brake fluid I should be using? I know there is a product called high mileage motor oil, anything for brake fluid?

You should not have to use any "special" brake fluid, not matter what the age and mileage. However, do NOT have someone pump the brake pedal all the way to the floor when bleeding/flushing your brakes. Your master cylinder piston and seals are accustomed to traveling a limited distance. The master cylinder bore is extremely smooth over that distance. Once to push the piston beyond the smooth wall border, you can cut the seal, resulting in a mushy pedal. Popular Mechanics recommends using a block of wood under the brake pedal to limit its travel when bleeding the brakes.

Of course, a power bleeder is the better way to go. Even a vacuum pump is safer than pumping the brake pedal.
