96 Civic EK Brake Disc

Default 96 Civic EK Brake Disc

Hey guys, need some help with a brake disc. I'm changing the front passenger brake disc. I've taken off the calipers and the 2 screw marked in blue but do i need to take off that big bolt in the cantre?

That bolt holds your axle on. Don't take the bolt out, the rotor will come out without taking that bolt out. If you take the bolt out your axle will not be connected to the hub, so it could fall of or something. If the rotor isn't coming off, there are two holes (they are opposite of each other). On the rotor there are actually 4 holes, two of them are for the screws you removed. Get a bolt that will fit in the other two holes, put one bolt in each of these two holes. Now turn the bolts, turn them equally. When you turn the bolts it will force the rotor out ward. So pretty much you are gonna want to turn the bolts until the rotor comes off. DON'T TAKE THE CENTER BOLT OFF, the axle will be disconnected from the hub.
