That depends on what you consider as cheap. I like Rota wheels because they are light-weight and relatively inexpensive.

See: http://www.jaydm.com/wheels.htm

Click on one of the wheel styles and then click on "Info" for sizes, prices, and weights. You will need holes spacing of 4x100mm.

Go to Tirerack, put your cars year and model and they will show you what will fit exactly.

I like the Tirerack, but many of their wheels don't have a weight listed and THAT usually means they are fairly heavy. Most of the light ones seem to cost over $200 each - too much for most Civic owners to justify buying. jaydm.com lists weights for every Rota they sell and most are very light.

1 piece Volk wheels are nice. HAHA. I use to have a set of 18"x8" forged 1 piece Volks that weighed only 16#. YAH $750 each. Strongest/lightest 18" wheel. You get what you pay for.

As far as size, most '97 Civics came with 14s. You can fit up to 18s, but potholes would be a nightmare. I wouldn't go any bigger than 16x7s. Some 205/45-16 tires would fit those nicely.
