bent lip... what to do...???
is there anyway to fix bent lips w/o having to remove the tire? the most i can do is to deflate the tires, but unmounting them and mounting them would be so much hassle.
also, my exel rims have just a very slight bent lip, i wish i had the camera to put the pics on here, but when i spun the whole wheel and tire while the car is jacked up, there is a little bit of flat spot on the rubber. is that normal? i mean there is just a very minor bent on the lip, why would it introduce a flat spot. now when i'm running above 40, you'll hear a faint zooo zooo zooo zooo sound which is annoying.

It's a total jimmy-rig way of fising SMALL bends, but. Deflate the tire enough to get a pry bar in and bend the tire back where the bend is.
Use some ATV sealant (silicone hi-temp) and lay a bead of silicone on the inside of the rim/tire where they meet. Get it deep in there and 4-5 inches on either side of the bend.
Depending on the set time for the sealant, give it a little bit to get a little harder. Then inflate the tire 3/4 of the way. Then give it a little, and inflate fully.
Let 24 hours pass and check for leaks.
Put the wheel back on the car and monitor for a week or so.

sorry i must have mis explained myself. the wheel and tire is not losing air. it perfectly holds air. it's just that when you spin the tires, there is a little bit of flattened spot where the lip bent is located. i dunno if this is normal. the lip bent is very very minor and yet it created a flattened spot in the rubber.
