Default Black brakes? or silver?

Has anyone painted their brakes black, and if so, do you have pictures? Mine are red now (they came that way) but the paint is coming off, I'm thinking of redoing them in black. I thought about silver too, but I think it might be too much "shiny" with alloy rims.

Pictures, anyone?

I take it you mean the brake calipers? I would paint them black or a semi-dark color before silver. Silver would get dirty too fast from the brake dust.

Take a wire brush and clean off any loose paint or rust before you paint them.

Well I am going to go with the black, I ordered the G2 paint kit that 90Civtegra recommended and some little wire brushes. I'm going to do it next weekend if it doesn't rain. [sm=devilangel.gif] wish me luck!

Yeh, just make sure you spend the time and effort to clean them up good, so that the paint doesn't flake off in a few months.
Good luck on the job, and let us know how you make out.
