Brake bleeding/pressure problem
Hey guys,
So as you know on my ef I swapped the brakes all the way around from a da9. Also the master cylinder, brake booster and 4040 valve. So my problem is when I go to bleed the brakes tons of air comes out and some old fluid but the fluid in the master cylinder does not go down and no brake pressure is gained. I worked on bleeding the brakes for about and hour straight, I have a good one man bleeder kit. So when I go into the car and press the pedal it goes to the floor. I'm thinking bad master cylinder. What do you think? All help is greatly appreciated! |

What happens if you try the two-man method with one pushing the pedal and the other opening the bleeder screw?

Haven't had the opportunity because I've been working by myself. Do you think that will make a difference?

I was just wondering whether you are having a brake system problem or a one-man bleeder problem.

Well when I use the one man bleeder when I go to do the front brakes when I squeeze the pump to build pressure it slowly leaks i guess cause I can see the gauge going down.

I was thinking it was a problem with the brakes, I thought I was doing it ok.

If you can get a helper, you'll know for sure.
