brake problem
alright so i was driving home from work tonite and i roll my window down to have a smoke and i hear this loud metal on metal sound coming from my front right. it happens when i brake and its even louder when i go 20-25 mph. i thought maybye if i try to warm the brakes up the sound will go away, it worked for a little while then the sound came back. after trying it again it went away. my dads volvo had the same problem with the rear brakes but i think its because his hand brake it broken. i dont know whats going on, im gonna change my rotor and pads tomorrow because it needs them. would it have anything to do with the axles?
thanks a lot guy for your responses this site is a life saver!!

RE: brake problem

RE: brake problem
I think you are hearing the brake pad wear indicator. The right pull may indicate that the right front brake pad is completely worn away, causing it to grab on the rotor when you brake. This problem needs immediate attention as you will or already have destroyed the rotor.
