RE: Brakes HELP!!
Not really... Just go buy new rotors (and pads while you're at it, you dont have to get pads too but if your going to rip your brakes apart, and ya got older pads... why the hell not eh?), and do the job in your driveway. Once you rip the wheel off you'll see its really no big deal.

RE: Brakes HELP!!
Hey Forty04
I just rang me local garage and asked them how mcuh it would be to replace the brake pads and rotors. They dont have a clue what rotors are. Do u mean the brake Disc??
Is this a really big deal or will it still be ok to leave it alone. They are saying its goin to be over £100 for this to be done. ( $180ish)
Thanks

RE: Brakes HELP!!
If a shop doesn't know what a rotor is then they are incompetent and I wouldn't dare let them touch my car. Call around to some other shops, I'm sure you will find someone else who is more capable of doing a good job. And yes, disc and rotor are the same thing.

RE: Brakes HELP!!
I guess where you're from the garage may call them brake discs. If you get them done in a garage, they'll use el cheapo parts. If you do it yourself, you can spend some money that you save and buy some better quality parts.
el cheapo = wear out fast
el cheapo = wear out fast
