Brakes are Squealing
I have a quick question. I just took my 2004honda civic lx with 42,000 miles on it to the dealer. Everything was fine, just needed new brake fluid, oil and filter change. They told me my front brakes were 75% worn and the back ones were 25% worn. They cleaned and removed rust buildup from my rear brakes...it has been a week...Now I am getting a slight squeal from my rear brakes only when I take my foot off of the brake not when I press down on the brake? Think this is only temporary or should I get it looked at....its weird though, only after I take my foot off of it...let me know what you think..thanks!
I have a similar problem. I just got my brake pads replaced and now whenever I'm cruising around, my wheel SQUEELS unless I either push on the brakes really hard really fast to stop it immediaetly, or when I just push on the brake normally.
probably didnt apply grease on the backing plates so whenever the shoes move, they rub and cause the squeal. so long as the pads and drums are fine and pedal pressure is normal, its not that big of a deal other than being noisy.
