can i only lower the back?

i have a facotry stock 02 coupe and u may know that the back tires suspension seems a big higher than that of the front. can i somehow lower the back just by an inch or so to make it even with the front?? I'm not looking to drop my car too low because I'm not a careful driver and i run into potholes and crap in the streets all the time. but at the same time I want a better look.
thanks

Your better off to get all 4 replaced as a set,its going to throwyou off with 2 different springs in the rear, just get a set of Tein H-techs which is just a small drop, its a inch or somthing, that will make the car over all look/handle better and you dont have to worry about pot holes and such.

does the tein h trach matter with speed bumps and other crap in the road? how about water and stuff like that? does the extra inch matter? how much would something like that including installing and allignment cost? im getting new wheels too, should i do it at the same time??

water? There just springs, and its not low enough to worry about speed bumps. I say about $150 for springs, and about $200 for install and another $50 for a alingment. But you got to call around for prices in your area to get a good idea of what your going to pay. Check out tein.com where you can get more info on them. For the wheels, you dont have to do it at the same time, it doesnt really matter.

Take a roadtrip and pack the trunk full.

Does lowering it by 1 inch matter when it comes to handling?

RE: can i only lower the back?

if i get the springs do i have to get anything else? or i can just get the these h-techs and have a shop install it for me? and when the spring drops the wheels, does it also drop lower to the ground meaning less clearance? I;m from an area where theres lots of dips and other issues in the roads like pot holes and such. When they install the springs do they have to remove the wheels? I'm planning on getting new rims and wheels tomorrow but dont have the cash to get the springs yet, can i do it next month and of course have to get a second alignment again? Thanks for answering my questions I'm a super noob.

Wow umm lol..... well first of all no, you dont need anythign else...... yes it means less clearance when you drop the car the whole car drops, the one inch shouldnt make a big difference with the dips and stuff....and last of course they have to take your wheels off to get to the coilovers... and you probably should get an alignment, always get one when your doin anything with the suspension or wheels
