Ok so right now I am pretty tight of money and have a AEM V2 intake coming soon. So right now i am out of money. I really want to lower my civic and I know that you can cut the stock springs for a noticable drop. But after I got on here and did some searching through the suspension threads alot of people said that its not the best idea. I dont see really why not but what are your opinions? also I dont really mind a bumpy ride so if thats the reason not too dont mention it. I am well aware that cutting it will make it quite a bit more bumpy. Thanks

heating and or cutting springs is def not a good idea. when honda made those springs they made them that size for a reason. so if u cut them they are not goin to be as safe and might even break apart leaving a bad accident....my suggestion would be to save your money and do it right....

id just keep them like they are. think about it, doing something like that could result in your cars suspension really screwing up also because they arent the same length and all kinds of stuff. id just save about 170 and get some nice springs. s-tech, h&r, or eibach

when you cut them they arent gunna lay on the spring perch like they were desighned. if you look at a spring, they coil on the ends so that the pressure is even all the way around. when you cut it, its not gunna be like that anymore. and mabie the perch can take it, mabie it cant...
