Default cutting springs?

ok so i have a stock 95 coupe, and i hate the 4 inch wheelwell gap so i wanna cut the springs a lil. now before everyone starts saying that this is a horrible idea have any of u actually had experience w/ this? if so how much do u cut off a spring to drop it say.... 1.5 to 2 inches? once again im NOT gunna spend any money on new springs so dont try convicing me. after all, this is my beater car and all i use it for is delivering pizza. it never sees the expressway so safety is not really a big concern.
thanks.

if you use it for delivering Pizza then you drive it alot obviously, so you deffinately do not want to go cheep and cut the springs.

This guy did this in a CRX, he cut about 2" off of the spring. It was low and looked good, but just pushing on the car made it bounce like mad. He had a body kit on it, it didnt last long...

Cutting springs is a really bad idea. It's unsafe, bad for your shocks and car, rides poorly, and handles terribly.

It's also a lot of work. Just spend $100 bucks on springs, or deal with the gap.

like everybody else says cutting the springs is a bad way to go but when you said safety is not a concern, take into consideration that you are not the only one on the road. if you dont care about your safety is one thing but when your on the road its also the safety of others and thats is why we have those things called inspections. ive never heard of anybody that had trouble with cut springs but then again the car bounces a lot and you could loose control especially being that you deliver pizza's which means you drive ALOT.

the reason you can not cut honda springs is that the ends are flat and need to sit level and if they are cut will not they will not work being cut
Dude do what i did $40 ebay coil overs cheep and looks good

i think i'd rather buy some no-name springs off ebay than cut springs. even then, i'd rather be patient, wait 2 weeks to get another pay check, and buy some decent springs like Tien s-techs for under $200 shipped...im sure after the time, effort, and going thru blades u spent to cut all the springs u'd wish u just bought some decent springs. not only that, even after cutting, it may not come out the way u want..

its a horrible idea! if youre gonna spend the time and effort toremove and cut the springs you may as wellbuy a set of lowering springs.

yeah you're gonna have to remove the springs and put them back on anyways, might as well have a good set of springs to throw on there.
