Default Disc brake Q?

So yes i'm a proud new owner of someone elses old beater. I have a 1988 honda civic 4 door. It has a lug nut broken on the front driver side. Do i need to remove the axle nut to get the rotor off or do i need some sort of rotor puller. I already pulled the brake caliper off. if the nut needs to come off i guess the simplest soution would be to put the wheel back on to break the nut loose cause it almost turned the motor over the way i did it. second question. on the brake caliper is there supposed to be two bolts? mine has a bolt on bottom and some sort of silver cap on top. i'll post a pic in a few minutes.

Thanks Ryan.

OK first off i figured out the rotor, took the 2 screws out and hit it with a bfh and a pry bar. what about the caliper mount. should there be a silver cap on the top part?
