Going from 13in to 15in tires will braking be an issue?

Hi Civic peeps, I have a 96 civic dx I am going from the 13in to a 15in 195/50/15 because the is almost zero options for 13in tires, my question is will this put a huge strain on my brakes/ brake system? I am mounting them on a set of steelies. I would really appreciate some feedback. I always get great help here so thank you in advance. Peter

You won't notice much difference but I would upgrade to some very good pads. I just put Hawk pads on my Civic and it stops much better.

the tires would be more of an issue then the wheel size when it comes to braking.

Thank you for the reply, But would you please elaborate on your response of why the tires would be more of an issue then the brakes. Thank you in advance. P

what i mean is the brand and model tire relevant to your environment. a set of no name chinese tires won't handle or brake anywhere near as good as to the name brand counterparts.
