obnoxious noise
okay since i got my tein s-tech, which i love. i think they hate me. i've heard a little noise that sounds to me like metal on metal only when i turn though. i have 14 inch rims and the width is 195? or maybe 205. so i doubt theres any rubbing. something with the springs getting installed?

RE: obnoxious noise
well as long as the rubber is still on the top hats and you left the brown rubber parts on the springs as long as you got ACTUAL REAL Stecs and not the ebay fakes....
and did you grease them up any?
when i put on my Stecs on my 99civic i used quite a bit of high temp grease all over the top and bottom of the springs location in the pockets before puting them in..... and i havent had any noises besides the front inner fenders rubbing the stock large plastic clips..... look at them and if it looks like they have rubbed just pull the wheel off and use a rubber hamer to kinda hit the mounting tab to slightly bend the mounting lip UP outta the way alittle more... didnt need to much on my 99civic....

RE: obnoxious noise
o it doesnt come with any grease..... LOL main way to tell if they are real is thier LOGO.... rip offs use a square sticker.
just check around the front wheels and see if you can tell where its been rubbing....

RE: obnoxious noise
you sure the rubbing is in the back?
if its poping in the rear only when you turn then i would first check all the bolts then.... maybe something has loosened up and its moving when ya turn..... i dont see what would be poping besides the bushings/ loose bolt, or maybe your other mounting bracket on the spindle or what ever its called. i know the one on my 94 looks to be half split on one side..... probably needs to be replaced eventualy but it snot making any noises on mine tho....

RE: obnoxious noise
well i wouldnt REMOVE the inner linners and on the front you only want to SLIGHTLY bend them up... its only like 1/4-1/2inch up... anymore and the inner liners wont fit anymore.....
so dont bend them to much! and dont do the rear fenders only the front. as long as your rims or tires dont rubb the inner fender lip when ya bounce the car up and down it should be fine!
just lift the car up put it on jackstands in the rear and crank down the bolts to ensure they are all tight....
you might also check to see if the struts are tight together.... its the allen wrench and a boxed in wrench around the nut... use the allen wrench to ensure the strut shaft doesnt spin while tightening the center nut.
just a idea.... a few things to check that could have been looked over when reinstaling....
just hard to describe a problem without being thier to check it out.LOL just a few things to check....
