Default Half shafts

Hello my girlfriend has a 96 civic ex I just changed the passenger side halfshaft took maybe a hour, when I went to do the drivers side I broke a craftman 1/2 inch and a Snap-on 1/2 inch breaker bar trying to get the axle nut off,yes I was trying to turn it counter clockwise and I did tap the lock tab up,Has anyone had this problem before,I also sprayed it with WD40,I figure it's rusted but it should have giving before the snap-on bar,Thanks

Default RE: Half shafts

Yea i had the exact same thing happen but it happened on the passanger's side. However, i didn't break my breaker bar (1/2 in craftsman). They can really be a pain to get out. I ended up having to take it to a shop where the impact gun took it off in a couple of seconds. At least you were using Snap-On and Craftsman tools, which are gauranteed forever.
