Default heavy steering wheel

There was a accident in my new 2006 civic. And the right front and rear wheel, suspension were replaced. After that, the steering wheel is much heavier than before. Could anyone tell me why the steering wheel become heavier? Is it good? Thanks.

Take it back to the shop that did the repair, if it's a reputable shop they should fix the problem...

But to answer your question it could be a number of things, like alignment and problems with the power steering.

Thanks. One more question, what is the difference between power steering and non-power steering in reality? My steering wheel can also turn back after left turn, but with slower back speed. Does it mean it lose some power? Thanks again.
