Default Help me choose new tires

So my front drivers tire got a screw stuck in it, and the other 3 firestones that came on the car were dry-rotting, so I took my car to the local place and they fixed me up with 4 all new tires (Kumho powerstar 758's). So I'm driving these around for a few days and I notice the ride feels a lot squishier than it did before.

Make a long story short... car needed an alignment, but I think they tires they gave me are not that great either, so they've offered to replace all four for free (cool) unfortunately all they carry is kumho, and my only options are the 758's, Touring A/S (795 I think?) and 719's (googled them and the name is power racer II or something silly like that). I told them I want the best performing tire, I don't really care about ride comfort. Right now I'm planning on having them put the 719's on tomorrow, but I wanted to see what you guys think my best choice is. Stick with the 758's (probably not gonna do that unless someone can give me a compelling reason) or go with either the 719's or the Touring 795's

What size tire do you currently have on?? It may seem "squishy" because you got like a 70 series tire instead of a 50 series....
Go read the sidewall and post back. should be like 205/70/R15 or something on there.

The tires on there now are 185/65/14 I believe. I'm just running on stock 14" steelies.

try for a 195/60/R14....I think if you really hunt around you maybe able to find a 195/50/R14, but not sure.
The smaller sidewall will stiffen the response of the ride. That or upsize the rim.

OK thanks for the advice. They called this morning to tell me that the 719's are on "national backorder" "for months" so I'm supposed to go in there today and look at what else they can order for me instead.
