Help me out! Cant find the Code
I have a 94 ex, and the ABS light is on after jumping the connector i came up with a 3 sec code. The light flashed for about a sec or two three times...What does this mean i cant find the trouble code....
Can you help me Civic Gods??
Can you help me Civic Gods??
I guess i don't know that much about the car after all. isnt a Map sensor for timing and air fuel mixtures? Why would that trigger the ABS light, oh and the ABS is not working the brakes lock up?
I'm confused!

Ron is thinking the check engine light, since on OBD-I it flashes a code just like the ABS light; your MAP isn't (well, shouldn't be) bad.
This should pretty much answer your questions:
Long (2sec.) flash - long (2sec.) pause - this isn't the code yet.
Short flashes for the first digit of the code - 1sec. pause - short flashes for the 2nd digit.
Long (5-second) pause, then the next code.
(94-97) ABS DTCs...
1 - ABS pump motor over-run
1 2 ABS pump motor
1 3 high pressure leakage
1 4 pressure switch
1 8 high pressure system
2 1 parking brake
3 1 pulser RF
3 2 pulser LF
3 4 pulser RR
3 8 pulser LR
3 12 different diameter tires
4 1 wheel sensor RF
4 2 wheel sensor LF
4 4 wheel sensor RR
4 8 wheel sensor LR
5 - rear wheel lock - R/L
5 4 rear wheel lock - R
5 8 rear wheel lock - L
6 - fail-safe relay - F/R
6 1 fail-safe relay - F
6 4 fail-safe relay - R
7 1 solenoid - RF
7 2 solenoid - LF
7 4 solenoid - R
8 1 ABS function
8 2 CPU comparison
8 4 IC self-check
There's NO long flashes, it's all short flashes with short & long pauses in between.

And the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor tells the computer how much pressure (or lack thereof: ie, vacuum) is in the intake manifold.

I'm actually not sure... the first of the three flashes would be the flash that doesn't count for anything, leaving two flashes for the code. But there's no 1-1 code.
From what I've been reading, Code 1 is a single flash, followed by a 5-second pause, then the cycle repeats itself.
OP, are you sure it was a total of three equal-length flashes? The only thing I can think of is maybe there's something being lost in translation here.

so if im reading this code right its Code 2 the ABS Pump?
cause its three short (2 sec) flashes...the first one doesnt mean anything so, does this sound correct?
And thank you for the help! Its awesome i love car people!
