Default how much can i drop?

i got 205/40zr/17's on my 99 ex, and they are a smidgin to big, had to ding up my fender lip so they would stop rubbing. (due to old stock suspension)

i would love some suggestions to my drop issue, 1"? 1.5"? i dont think with these mongoloid tires i could drop any lower without rubbing but idk.

man i wish i would have done a little research before buying rims /tires [&:]195's would be so nice right now

a lot of people that have 17's hereare rockin' tein s-techs (which are a 1.9"dropin front and 1.7" out back) with no problems.

I'd just like to point out that there's a 1/2 inch difference between 17x7's and 15x6.5's (including the tire), and I have yet to see 16x6.5's; most of the 16's I've seen are 7 inches wide, which means for the most part so are the tires (that's not to say 16x6.5's don't exist)

You could possibly fit the tires with slightly narrower rims and/or a different offset.Do you have room to spareon the inside edge of the tires?
