how much for new brake rotors and pads?
took my car to mechanic, he said I need new rear and front rotors and pads. The dealership i bought my car from told me they put new brakes on all their cars, which obviously they didnt because I have only put 3,700 miles on it and I need new rotors and pads already so they said they would fix it at a discount.
My question: Without any discount, how much would this generally run me? I just wana know so I can make sure the price they give me is a discount.

RE: how much for new brake rotors and pads?
Check tirerack.com, i was recomended that site for my car and the prices weer pretty good.
I paid 60 for my front brake pads (Brembo ceramics), plus 30-40 per rotor for brembo blanks and like 20 bucks for my rear brake shoes that i have not even installed yet.

well IMO since they were supose to have it done before you bought the car. No. And then I think you should at least try to have it done free, or like labor free. (pay only for parts). And let me tell you they will probably only change the pads/shoes and take the cheapest one... If you end up having to pay 200$ I'd do myself. I understand that you might not have the knowledge or time to change your brakes, but I'd look elsewhere for prices..

For 200 i would tell them do the labor free and just buy your own good parts, that way you know whats going on your car. They will use the chepest parts and it will suck.
Make sure to watch them do it too like actually change the rotors and what not, i trust NO ONE lol

Again i trust NO ONE except myself so if i had to spend any money, i would buy my own parts to make sure im getting what i want, and have them do the work for me.
I doubt they will order him some brembo blanks and brembo pads when there are cheaper options.
Shold have have to pay anything, NO, but if he does have to pay, he might as well get something good instead of some el chepos stuff
