ya i would keep trying to find someone with a press!!!!!
i know the pushings in my LCA just the strut bushings i had to replace THEY WHERE REALY IN THIER!!!!!!!!!!!!
no way in hell a hammer would have removed them!!!!!
my dads press is 20tons and with 1 bushing it VERLY had the power to pop the one bushing out!!!! i was shocked!!!!! no way a sledge and vis woulda held it! hell i wouldnt be shocked if it actualy bent the control arm!

what i did, for the lower control arm, was heat it up a lot with a torch, and then stick the end tight in a vise, and work the arm back and forth, until it broke free, then tapped it out with a hammer.
now, how would i go about pressing the new ones in there?
