hi guys Im Denis from UK but im Russian and i need some help on alloys, im gonna get H Civic 1.5 Lsi Hatch 1997 and i was wondering if ill get 17" rims and i will lower it about 2" - "2.5 will they rub and do i have to do a whell arch conversion cos lotso people told me i have to. Thanks in advance

this is fine. plenty of people lower their car 2.5" and put 17's on. The only thing I would recommend is to get really stiff springs cause if they are too mushy, the wheels WILL rub when you turn hard corners. Also, make sure you buy tires that are the same size or slightly smaller than stock.

You should get 205/40 R17 or smaller

Edit: and don't go for those wide tires either.. cause it will rub.. 205 width is max. Personally, I would go with 16's

Hi there. I have a 98 hatch that I used to have 17's on (205/40) I had no problems with rubbing with the car lowered about 60mm. The only problem I did have was that the coilovers I used seem to knock the camber quite far out and I got excessive inner edge tyre wear.
