hey whats up guys ! next month im going to drag race my car at california speedway ! i was just wondering what type of slicks should i get and with what size rim !! can anyone out there help me with this im new ! thanks right now i have 17' with 40 series tires !

 

If your gonna go draggin......your 17's should probably be replaced with a set if 13's 14's or 15's.

 

yeah i know that but what is the best size for the front rims and tires ??

 

like ntx said... go with a smaller rim and as wide of a tire as you can fit under that bad boy! You can always go with some Mickeys!

 

20x8x14 is my choice in mickeys ive tried a 20 inch tall slick and got a worse 60ft. although this may be different for you depending on what kinda of power you have under the hood.

 

I'm more into circuit racing more than 1/4 mile racing but I have friends who are starting to get into the 1/4 mile racing. I was wondering if any of you guys had experience with the Nitto NT-555 drag radial. Does it really work as good as what Nitto claims?

 

Im running the Nitto Neo Gen's, but my friend has the 555's on his Mustang. They are pretty sweet and grip great, but my tires have a better traction rating than his[sm=lol.gif]

 

Do you drag race your car often with the Neo Gen?

 

On the streets when some ricer thinks hes got something, hahaha. I drive pretty hard too.

 

Have you ever take it to the local dragstrip & see the difference by using the Neo Gens?
