Keep current wheels?? Or move on to something else?

Ok guys, let me know what your thoughts are on this. Not sure if I want to continue rocking the BBS's, so I put them up for trade on H-T, TST, and CL.

I was messaged by a guy with a set of Rota attacks, black with a polished lip.

What do you guys think?

My wheels have mismatched tires, every wheel has paint which is nicked and scratched up, one lip has a minor bend, and I am starting to think of one wheels are straight up bent (flat looking spot on the rear driver side)

Picture(s) of it currently:

His wheels are 15'' Rota Attacks all with matching sized tires, black with a polished lip, minimal nicks in the paint, fairly new tires (about the same amount of tread as mine).

(All I could find was a pic of bronze on a EG hatch, but you get the idea)

So, what do you think about these?

i like both lol, i sat here for 5 mins and cant decide either lol

Hmmmm, idk. IMO the Rota attacks gives it more of a "street" look, while your BBS gives it more of a "old school" look.

I like both, but i mean it sounds like you really dont like the condition of the rims you have. and your gonna have to replace all 4 tires (to have matching sizes)...

did he message you on craiglist? have you seen the actual condition of the rims?

I vote Rotas

this is a tough one. they both look good in their own ways. I like the gold wheels on a silver civic look. black would look kind of dull. The condition is better on the rota's. so i have no idea which to go with on this one. if the attacks were in gold or bronze it would be a easier choice. maybe i would go with the rotas since its in better condition

Thanks for the input guys.

Right now, I have the guy with the Rota Attacks interested, someone with a set of ep3 wheels and steelies (both sets have fresh tires), and a few people with LS meshies offering me trades. I'll keep you guys posted!

WellFedHobo 11-14-2010 10:25 AM

LS mesh is always safe.

Shoulda kept the phone dials...

Yea, the meshies are becoming a better and better choice as I go, but I still haven't made up my mind. The Rota attacks are like 10.5 lbs a piece!

As for the dials...something about running a 5" wheel didn't sit well with me, especially since I would be grinding down the caliper and/or getting hubcentric spacer and/or get extended wheel studs installed just to have the wheels actually be able to fit onto the car, and then tires. All options were more expensive than my current path I have taken :D
