18's are way too big for a civic. Whats teh offset on them? With 18's I wouldnt go too low, plus dropping it wont look that great IMO because of the size of the wheels. The ride is gonna suck donkey tit too. But if you must get 18's, I suggest Tein Stechs just because theyre engineered for stock struts. Also, look into gettin koni yellows or somethin of the sort

^ +1 on them being too big. If you want you can post up a "Wanted" ad in the Classifieds section or just browse around and see what they have, that'll help your search out. Or you could go to www.procivic.com and look around there; thats where i got my S-Techs and couldn't really be happier with them. Price is pretty good too. But as for the wheels, 205's would suit you okay, but anything bigger than 16" the ride is gonna suffer bad. I have 205/40/17's on my 99 and the ride is definitely rough. I can't even imagine 18"s

*cough* 215/35-18 *cough*

I've seen 18's on an EG... personally, I don't think it looks too bad (the car had a body kit, so it helped a little), but that being said, I wouldn't put 18's on a pre-8th gen civic. Anyway, I can almost promise you'll have rubbing problems if you lower with 18's. That being the case, I'd say get coilovers/coilover sleeves (Ground Control and Skunk2 both make good coilover sleeves) and good shocks. That way, you can lower enough to reduce the wheel gap, but you won't rub too terribly much.

And personally, I say if you like something, go for it.. F**k everyone else.

I'm runnin 205/40/17's on my 97, and I have rubbing problems as it is. I still have the stock springs on there, but the douche that owned the car before me cut them. Soon as I can afford it I'm swappin them out.

I hate modded Civics with bigger wheels and lowered - I don't ever buy these kind used!
