Default Lowering Springs? Which is best.

Hi All,

I need to know something, which is better, coilover springs or just springs?
Ive been told that coilovers are cheap and nasty were as just springs are better.
Can any tell me the difference.
Ive been offered an set of springs (coilover I think) and am seriouly considering buying them. I just want to be sure before i buy.

Thanks

I am new here but i think it depends on what you want out of your suspension. springs and shocks are just that the shorter springs give you an more aggressive stance for your car and shocks for better comfort since you stock shocks will not last to long or will eventually be damaged cause there not fully extended cause of the shorter shocks. The coil overs give you the best og both worlds you can drop the car for a more aggressive profile or raise the car back up at any time. My self i feel coilovers are to expensive and i prefer the shocks and ajustable shocks, if you want ride hieght adjustment and ride comfort adjustment go with the coilovers if you can handle just the ride comfort adjustment go for the springs and shocks. Thats just my 02 cents.

exactly, which is what happened to me, originally i bought cheap $65 coilovers off of ebay, all was well for a month or so, after that my back tires stopped looking like this !-! and started looking like this ^ the top of the tires were pushed in and the bottom was out, this is camber, plus it was a HELL of a bumpy ride, now i bought the Eibach Pro-Kits and in the last 2 days had them installed myself, that's cuz I was learning as I went, Pro-Kits have a nice frop too i'll include some pics this afternoon after i get off work, not bouncy at all almost rides stock AND is perfect height for lowering. you still will probably need a camber kit though

I'll take good springs, some quality dampers, and camber kits over coilovers any day.
