MY NEW RIMS CAME!
from what ive heard MOST of those policys SUCK and rarely work! cause its some BS about you being the first of some crap.... i dont know ive just heard its BS....
did you get tires with those as well or did you have to buy those on your own? i checked ebay and i see the ones you got and they are listed at like 189.00 + whatever shipping is and i am seriously thinking of buying them. i guess my only question is about the tires, if they didnt come with that package what is a good type of tire to have with rims like those? and best place to order tires?
Thanks for your help dude!

BEFORE you buy, find out how much the rims weigh. I've seen too many 20+ lb rims that replace 14-lb stock wheels. That's a performance hit that you'll feel, every time you accelerate. Look up weights of your stock wheels and tires (Tirerack lists the weight of each tire they sell) and do the same with rims and tires you are intending to buy. If your new combo is going to add more than say, 4 lbs to each corner, I suggest you save your money for lighter versions.
I already had the tires because I already had 17s on the car when I bought it a few months ago. It came with Spector 205/40/17 Z rated tires...that are actually performing well. I know you can find them online fairly cheap. I weighed the rims when I got them, they were 18 pounds. Which isnt a big issue for me, I dont intend on racing this car, just a DD that im trying to make a little easier on the eyes and drive a little better.
Does anyone else have 17s lowered on springs on here? Im a little concerned about tire rub after I drop it. I know S-Tech are only about 1.5 drop...but the rear of my car already sits lower than the front.

ya mines lowered with Stechs... tho with my rim/tire combo i HAD TO roll the fenders in the rear and slightly in the front... the front just has tabs so that can be done with a simple small hammer... but to roll the rears its BEST to buy a fender roller! personaly id buy new and then sell it used... youll loose ruffly 60bucks BUT its worth it seing how most people charge 90bucks to rent it...
my rims are 40mm offset with 205-40-17s
if you dont want to rub just buy some stiffer springs... the Stecs are great for a smooth ride BUT have ALOT more travel cause they are softer!

little video i made and thats with just me pushing down on the back fender... if i realy get it rocken i can make it move further
stiffer springs wont have all that travel so ya wont have to worry as much about rubbing but ride wont be as smooth of a ride of course...
