Default Nasty knock/bang when hitting bumps

As the title says, I have a nasty knock/bang when I hit decent bumps, potholes or some expansion joints in the road. It comes from the front and the rear and it sounds to me like either the control arm bushings or all the bushings together (99 Si). The steering wheel doesn't shake and it doesn't pull one way or the other it just sounds like the something is getting blasted in the suspension.

So my question is since you have to take the control arms and everything off anyway to replace the bushings wouldn't it be easier to just replace the arms and have everything new?

Should I go OEM or aftermarket? Which is cheaper? (not racing it want it to work)

How hard is it to get all the suspension parts off with just hand tools?

If I took it to a shop (I hate dealerships) roughly how much would it run me for front and/or rear?

This is just a pre-flight since I haven't taken it to a decent shop (the idiots at NTB did a suspension check without even getting under the car) but I want to get a rough guestimate of what I might be in for.
