My CV joints are bad too. I am going to be swapping the axles out, because the ones I have are a lifetime guarentee. If you plan on keeping the car for awhile just get new axles. Theyre easy to put in, inexpensive and most places (like pep boys, advanced auto) sell them with a lifetime guarentee. Check the DIY section in the forum, there is a step by step how to........with pics.

You dont have to change both, but I would. This way youve got 2 brand new ones and wont have to worry about it for awhile. I think they might cost betwen 150-200$? Not sure, mine came with my swap.

You don't have to replaced both, just the damaged one. I did my right one too about a month ago, it wasn't that bad to do... it's pretty straight forward. I bought mine from autozone for about 70 bucks and came with warranty too.

Also, if you decide to replace both, remember!!! replace one axle at the time!!! Don't take both axle out at the same time since it's going to be a PITA to put them back into the tranny.

It simple to replace the axle.. don’t matter which side.. or both side at the same time.. it only a few nuts and bolts.. but much easier if you have some power tool (remember to drain out a little bit of the tranny fluid or completely drain it, yours preference before pull out the axle).

i remember reading that if you take both axles out first, it was harder to put them back in... maybe i just read it wrong lol[&:]
