Default Need a new steering rack: is the Si unit worth the trouble?

I've got a 91 DX hatch with a manual rack. After trying to figure out for awhile why the steering wheel shimmied when I hit the brakes moderately hard, I finally noticed that the the rack's passenger side boot was torn open and the lube inside was waterlogged. I already replaced the tie rod end on the offending wheel (same side), so it's not that.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's worth the effort to acquire a replacement steering rack for an Si since it needs to be replaced anyway. I'm imagining that the steering would be quicker than on the DX. Are there any issues to contend with, or is it a bolt-in?
